IC July Commitment - Done
So I somehow managed to paint a Predator in 3 days. I'm not sure how I managed that, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, being the first vehicle I've ever painted.
For the full entry, I'll direct you to my hobby progress thread and message here: http://www.theindependentcharacters.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1698&p=19663#p19663
Otherwise, here's the Predator that, as soon as I finish a top hatch and a set of side doors will be the Rhinator:

Hobby Challenge @ The ICs
Right, so I've signed up for a hobby progress challenge over at The Independent Characters, which in short is to paint one 1850pts army as well as a 400pts sideboard until the end of March, 2012.
Knowing myself, I can only fail horribly, but I thought; why the heck not? At worst I just progress at the same slow pace I've always worked at, at best I'll have over 2000 points painted in ten months time. Even if I fall short, I'll still have done some hobby progress so I'll win even if I lose.
The (June/)July goal is a 5 man Assault Squad/Claw unit which I'm currently about 20% done with, and when those are done I'll start painting my still only basecoated Predator.
Expect some pictures once I'm starting to near the end of each unit.

Thermos & Creamy Nougat
So, I've finally managed to get some hobby progress in, not counting the work on Codex: Night Lords for The Codex Project.
Had a small 2v2 1000pts each game the other week and with me using C:NL for the first time, I had some points over to fit in a lone terminator. Since I wasn't too fond of any of the four termies I had modelled since before, I salvaged the legs from one of them and made a new one. It's still a bit WIP, needing some more greenstuff and will be given some chains and skulls since I've been a bit inspired by Dan the Deamon over at B&C
Today I finally managed to get some work done on my Dreadnought, making it fully customizable for any weapon loadout and pretty much any codex. In total there are 10 magnets on him for torso/legs, arm weapons and the "hands". We'll see if I can also succeed in getting some paint on the torso before the weekend. The local store is having a walker event, and it would be pretty amusing to fight against other walkers with the equivalent of S6 lightning claws..

Go ahead, jump. Jump!
While I'm technically not completely done yet, since I have yet to paint a single lightning bolt on the miniatures, the first batch of 10 jump packs from Chapterhouse are finished. Drybrushing blue is really boring, fyi.
First I tried to keep it simple with the "tubing" parts in midnight blue, the same colour as the joints of my marines, but it was just too boring with blue, blue and blue, so I redid one in red instead. Quite a big difference, really..
A few days of doing mostly other stuff later, I can finally focus on painting another few normal Night Lords while waiting for my Maelstrom package with my new green stuff for a slight conversion on my Apothecary (Sang.priest) and HQ (Sevrin Loth).
2 models are already hiding in my BattleFoam, but the other 8 wanted to do a quick pose (wierdos!)..

Foamy goodness
It's finally arrived, my nice black 720 (limited edition number 212/500), designed to eventually carry aprox 5000 points of Night Lords (though it'll probably be more like 3500 pts NL and 1500 pts Grey Knights in the end)

Let there be blue
Finally some progress again. Got my act together and went to a friend with an airbrush for some vehicle basecoating. Also brought 10 jump packs that'll hopefully get some additional color tomorrow, but I'll save pictures of those until they're done.
Airbrushing everything I brought took an hour or two in total, with a normal brush, it'd probably have taken me a month or two instead.
